Big

I find it funny how big we build our homes now a days. I mean, it seems that the goal of all Americans is to own the biggest home we can possibly afford with as much land as we can possibly afford. And in addition to that, if you can get a big home on a big piece of land with a big view looking down from a mountain to the city lights below…that’s even better. I have a friend who recently built a 6 million dollar home which sits on a mountain with the most incredible views of the valley you have ever seen. The home is over 15,000 square feet. Everything in the home is the best that money can buy. But the funny thing about this home is that it is vacant 70-80% of the time. My friend and his wife are always traveling. They are never at home. And so it is with a lot of us. We build Big and Expensive homes…and try our darndest to never be there. Why is that? Think about it.
