Does it Matter?

by Larry John

The other day, a group of us were sitting around talking about everything from motorcycles to reality shows. One of the guys in the group said, does any of this really matter? We were all taken back a little by his remark and I said, “What do you mean?” He continued to tell us that he had decided that nothing in life really mattered that much. “We are born and we die…that’s it.”  We all laughed and poked fun at him and then went about our business. But. …Seriously…does your life matter? And if so, what matters most to YOU in life? I tell you what matters most to me… good ole “peace of mind”.  Peace of mind makes everything in life better. And for me, to achieve “peace of mind” I have to allow life to happen instead of trying to control life. Allowing life to happen allows me to experience more happiness, laugh more often, and experience a JOY FILLED life… once again proving the world is upside down. The less you try to control, the more in control you are. Think about it.
