I know a lot of people who live their lives with their “heads in the sand.” They don’t watch the news, read the newspaper, or listen to news and talk on the radio. They really think that …just like the Ostrich who, when frightened sticks its head in the sand… if they can’t see danger, it doesn’t exist and if it doesn’t exist, there is nothing to fear. I in turn love the news. I am a news junky. I can’t get enough. I’ll watch CNN and FOX News while listening to talk radio and reading the newspaper. What does that say about me? I guess I’d like to know in advance what to be afraid of so I can be prepared. The problem with us news junkies is that we are constantly afraid of a lot of things that just don’t happen. Think about it. |
