Running Away

by Larry John

Remember when you were a kid. Did you ever run away from home? You got everything ready in your “pack” but then you couldn’t think of where to go. So you ran away to a friend’s house a few doors down the street. But when it was time for dinner you were excited to go back home. And so it is with so many of us. So many times we want to run away. We don’t know where…we just want to run away. But it is hard to run away from home…because there’s no place like home. Sure, we all want to run away from time to time. This thing we call life can sometimes seem a little overwhelming. But wherever we go…there we are. I guess that’s why God created Malls. We can run away there, but when it’s time for dinner, we can all go home. Think about it.
