Running, Running, Running

by Larry John

Last night I went outside, and my grand daughter, Carson, was across the street at my son’s house. I called to her, “Carson come see Papa”…and she came running. And I mean running. She came running full speed toward me, but when she got to me…she just kept on running. She ran around the cars, all round the yard, and around the cars again. She just kept running. She had no idea where she was going. She just loved the experience of running. Finally she got tired and came over and gave me a big hug and the running was over for a while. So it is with life, some of us are continually “busy busy busy,”… running here, running there, but clueless of why we are running. We just think we need to run. Stopping to “smell the roses” is wisdom that only age can teach us. Think about it.
