Smelling Differently

by Larry John

I was sitting, relaxing, and smoking my cigar on the front porch last night when my wife walked out to talk to me. She said, “Man, that cigar sure smells good.” To which I replied, “I love the smell of a good cigar.” A few minutes later my daughter came outside and upon smelling the cigar said, “That is the grossest smell in the world.” To which I replied, “You’re right. Most people hate the smell of a cigar.” It’s odd, isn’t it?  The same cigar…on the same porch…on the same night….resulting in two different conclusions of the same smell.  I just thought that was funny. We don’t get mad at people if their nose smells a cigar and they love or hate the smell. We accept the fact that everyone “smells” odors differently, but when it comes to politics…that’s a different story. Most of the time there is only one way to “smell” politics. My view is right and your view… STINKS.  Think about it.
